Running througout the month of October, across the entire Hinterland Region, the Scarecrow Festival is one of the premiere annual events of the Mornington Peninsula. Many a crazy, unique and just plain fun scarecrows are constructed and displayed in all of the nooks and crannies of the central Peninsula. Visitors are invited to follow the Trail Map in search of these scarecrows, but also in search of treasures, specials and special features offered by participating local businesses. Through the Scarecrow Festival, both the business community as well as the greater community of the Mornington Peninsula are able to display all of the fun, beauty, bounty and glory our Region has to offer. As you spot the Scarecrows, watch for local businesses featuring the Scarecrow Specials poster in their windows and take advantage of a variety of special offers and promotions running throughout October. Be sure to follow our website in lead-up to the Festival for more information on the event, the 2010 Trail Map, businesses featuring Scarecrow Specials, our community give-back Scarecrow to the Rescue! program and the all-time Festival favourite, the Scarecrow Festival Grand Finale Party!
